  • 1. Membership Rewards Ascent Premium enrolment required. Subject to Terms and Conditions of the Membership Rewards program available at membershiprewards.com.au/termsandconditions.
  • 2. Depending upon when you make a purchase, when your statement is issued and whether or not you are carrying forward a balance on your account from your previous statement period.
  • 3. No pre-set spending limit does not mean unlimited spending. Your purchases are approved based on a variety of factors, including current spending patterns, your payment history, credit records, and financial resources known to us.

  • 7. The GST breakdown on statements generally meets the information requirements of the relevant legislative instruments outlined in your Card Member agreement. In circumstances where transactions are categorised as mixed supplies or no GST breakdown has been provided, you are advised to obtain a Tax Invoice or Adjustment Note to support your GST input tax claims. It is advised to consult your accountant or tax advisor to assess the accuracy of your GST input tax claims.
  • 8. A fee per ATM transaction applies. A currency conversion fee is payable when a cash withdrawal is processed in a currency other than Australian dollars. A withdrawal limit may apply depending on individual financial institution ATM restrictions.
  • 9. The offer is only available to American Express Business Card Members. The offer and discounted rates are available at any Servcorp Australian locations. The offer is not available in conjunction with any other offer. The offer is available only to phone enquiries who quote American Express Business discount, it is not applicable to enquiries who sign up online.
  • 10. Complimentary usage vouchers will be issued by American Express each year. Complimentary meeting room usage is for 2hrs per year at any Australian Servcorp location and only available with presentation of a valid voucher. This offer is subject to availability and must be booked at least 24 hours in advance by calling 1800 609 847. The complimentary voucher is for meeting room hire only. Any additional charges will be charged to the valid Platinum American Express Business Card.

  • 12. A valid American Express Business Card and enrolment in the Membership Rewards program is required (an annual fee may apply). Offer only available on American Express foreign currency Telegraphic Transfers, Draft payments or Forward Contract drawdown's. Points are calculated on local currency equivalent. Refer to the FXIP MR Disclosure Document for full details. Refer to membershiprewards.com.au in Australia for full Membership Rewards Terms and Conditions. Please allow 6 to 8 weeks for points to be credited to your account.
  • 13. You will not be liable for any unauthorised charges, provided you notify us immediately upon discovery of any fraudulent transactions and you have complied with your Card conditions.
  • 14. Only one subscription per American Express Platinum Business Card account. Supplementary Card Members are not eligible for the subscription.
  • 15. Subscription valued by Fairfax. Subscriptions will last 12 months. You cannot change to another subscription during the first 12 months. The subscription cannot be replaced with an alternative Fairfax product. The subscription cannot be exchanged for cash or credit. The subscription is subject to Fairfax terms and conditions (afr.com/subscription_terms/ or theage.com.au/conditions or smh.com.au/conditions).
  • 16. Platinum Fare Guarantee Partners: British Airways, Delta Air Lines, Etihad Airways, Emirates, Singapore Airlines, South African Airways and Virgin Australia. Terms: Valid for return fares departing from Australia only. Fares must be publicly available in Australia. The fare must be for the same seat (same carrier, route, date, flight number and booking class), with same terms and conditions (as specified by the airline) and must be available at the time that the quote is presented to Platinum Travel. Claims must be made by calling your Travel Consultant within 24 hours of booking with Platinum Travel. You will need a same-day valid written competitor quote. The new fare must be ticketed within 24 hours of price match, after which time it will be subject to change until ticketed. Airline Partners are subject to change. Platinum Fare Guarantee valid until 31 December 2014.
  • 17. Airline Privileges Program: British Airways, Delta Air Lines, Etihad Airways, Emirates, Japan Airlines, LAN Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines, South African Airways, United and Virgin Australia. Terms: All airfares must be purchased through the Platinum Travel Service and paid for on the Platinum Business Card. Airline Partners and offers vary and are subject to change. Airline conditions apply. Contact Platinum Travel for full details on the Airline Privileges Program. All bookings must be made through Platinum Travel Service paid for with the Platinum Business Card.
  • 18. Complimentary Priority Pass membership is available to the Basic Platinum and one nominated Supplementary Card Member per account on enrolment to Priority Pass membership. It can take up to eight weeks to receive Priority Pass card. Platinum Business Card Members must present the Priority Pass card and same day boarding pass to gain entry into the lounge. Use of this card means full acceptance of Priority Pass conditions of use. Any travel companions will be assessed a guest visit fee at the prevailing rate, currently USD27, per person, per visit. The fee will be charged to the Platinum Card account on file. Additional Supplementary Card enrolments will be charged at a reduced rate of USD249, per year.   • 19. Virgin Australia Lounge access is complimentary for the Basic Platinum Business Card Member and one complimentary guest only. The Basic Platinum Business Card Member and guest must be travelling with Virgin Australia domestically. Access is to Virgin Australia-branded lounges in Australia only. Name on boarding pass must match the name on Platinum Business Card. The Platinum Business Card Member and guest must present his or her valid Card and same-day boarding pass (containing their Virgin Australia Velocity Frequent Flyer number and status) to Virgin Australia lounge agents. One guest per Basic Platinum Business Card Member permitted. Guest must be travelling on the same Virgin Australia flight and present boarding pass. All access is subject to space availability.   • 22. Valid only for new FINE HOTELS & RESORTS bookings made through Platinum Travel Service and Platinum Travel online. Payment must be made in full with an American Express Card in the Australian Platinum Card Member's. Available for Australian Platinum Charge Card Members and excludes Platinum Credit Card Members. Card Member must travel on itinerary booked to be eligible for benefits described. Noon check-in and room upgrade are based on availability and are provided at check-in. Certain room categories are not eligible for room upgrade; call Platinum Travel Service for details. Breakfast amenity varies by property, but will be, at a minimum, a continental breakfast. Benefit restrictions vary by FINE HOTELS & RESORTS property and cannot be redeemed for cash, and may not be combined with other offers unless indicated.   • 23. Enrolment in the Starwood Preferred Guest Program is required. Benefits are subject to change. Gold Preferred level amenities may not be combined with the FINE HOTELS & RESORTS Program. Terms and Conditions of the Starwood Preferred Guest Program apply and can be found at spg.com. Program enrolment is valid as long as you are a Platinum Business Card Member and your account is in good standing.
  • 24. Enhanced Rooms are identified by each property and are superior standard rooms that may include rooms on higher floors, corner rooms, newly renovated rooms, or rooms with preferred views. Late check-out may not be available at some properties.
  • 25. Enrolment in the Club Carlson programme is required. Benefits are subject to change. Gold Elite level amenities may not be combined with the FINE HOTELS & RESORTS program.   • 27. Platinum Card Members must enrol in Avis Preferred Club in order to enjoy all benefits. Upgrade is subject to availability at time of rental. Valid for a one-class upgrade from Group A to a maximum Group E in Australia only. Coupon can't be used in conjunction with any other coupon or offer. Renter must meet Avis standard age and credit requirements. Subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Avis Rental Agreement at the time of rental. Terms and Conditions can be found at www.avis.com.au. An advance reservation with request for upgrade is required. Contact Platinum Travel Service for more details. American Express reserves the right to instruct Avis to cancel your membership if you cease to be a Platinum Card Member or your account is not in good standing.
  • 28. All travel arrangements must be prepaid prior to departure to be eligible for Membership Rewards redemptions. Membership Rewards redemptions cannot be used for Cruise Privileges bookings.   • 29. Subject to the Terms and Conditions of the Membership Rewards program of which you are actively enrolled in available at membershiprewards.com.au/termsandconditions. Spending at restaurants, airlines and accommodation, major cruise and tour operators will only be eligible for double Membership Rewards points where they are categorised as such in the American Express Merchant Acceptance system. For example, dining within a retail department store, hotels, pubs and liquor outlets may not be eligible to receive the additional points for restaurants. Spend on airlines or spend on accommodation is eligible for the additional points when paid directly to the merchant or through a travel agent. Membership Rewards points are awarded on the AUD equivalent amount of the spend in foreign currency. Except for spend in foreign currency, purchases at these merchants are only eligible for additional points if the transactions are made in Australia. Selected advertising media channels include, but are not limited to: Fairfax, News Ltd, Google, The Canberra Times, Pacific Publications, ACP Publishing, Cumberland. Selected couriers include, but are not limited to: FedEx, UPS, Schenker Australia, DHL. Selected IT retailers include Apple, Dell, IBM, and exclude department stores and general computer suppliers.
  • 30. To be eligible to use this service a minimum of 100,000 Membership Rewards points applies. There is typically no charge for Rewards Concierge, although you are responsible for any purchases and/or shipping charges you authorise. Fees may apply for meetings and event planning. Return of rewards or items still in 'as sold' condition will not be accepted as part of this service. Members are unable to change or cancel orders after points have been redeemed or payment made.
  • 31. Standard booking and processing fees may apply as charged by individual ticketing agents.
  • 32. Entry is subject to capacity and granted on a first come basis. Platinum and Centurion Charge Card Members can gain entry with a max. of three guests.
